Herkimer County Community College (Herkimer College) is located in Herkimer, New York, USA. It is affiliated with the State University of New York (SUNY) system and was founded in 1966. The first students of the college enrolled in 1967 and initially attended classes at a temporary campus in Ilion, and moved to its current location in 1971. Herkimer College offers more than 40 associate degree and certificate programs in the fields of art, business, communications, criminal justice, education, health care, humanities, science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The college also offers 20 degrees, 3 certificates and more than 150 online courses through its Internet Academy. Herkimer College's sports programs are also well-known, and the men's hockey team has won national championships many times. The college is located in the picturesque Mohawk Valley region, with a campus of 500 acres and provides high-quality education and accommodation facilities.
