Overview

Wright State University, located in Fairborn, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton, was founded in 1967 as a public research university named after the Wright Brothers, aviation pioneers. With over 11,000 students, the university offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in a variety of fields, including engineering, medicine, business, education, and the arts, as well as a branch campus in Celina's Lake Campus. WSU boasts small class sizes (approximately 15:1 student-to-faculty ratio), abundant research resources (Carnegie R2 class), and an underground tunnel system that connects the entire university, and is known for its Division I and Raiders sports teams. The campus is also home to the Division I “Raiders” athletic team, which is active in national tournaments. The campus atmosphere emphasizes practical innovation, international development and community integration, making it a cost-effective, high-quality choice for research and employment in the Midwest.
