Columbia International University is located in Columbia, South Carolina, USA, and was founded in 1923 under the original name of Columbia Bible College. It was renamed to its current name in 1994. The university upholds the motto “Know it and make it known,” and is committed to cultivating Christian leaders with global influence from a biblical worldview. CIU offers over 70 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degree programs across disciplines such as theology, education, business, psychology, and cross-cultural studies. All programs are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). The university currently has approximately 2,651 students from over 40 U.S. states and more than 30 countries. CIU's athletic teams, the Rams, compete in NCAA Division II competitions, with their home games held at Elting Pool.
