Carroll College, located in Helena, Montana, was founded by the Catholic Diocese of Helena in 1909. It was originally named Mount St. Charles College and was renamed in 1932 to commemorate its founder, Bishop John Patrick Carroll. As a Catholic liberal arts college, Carroll College adheres to the motto of "Non scholae sed vitae" and is committed to cultivating students with leadership, service spirit and critical thinking. The college offers more than 35 undergraduate majors covering health sciences, business, computer science, education, social sciences and other fields, and has master's programs such as social work and physical therapy. The campus is located in an area of 63 acres and has 21 buildings. Facilities include All Saints Chapel, Simperman Hall and Corette Library.
